--Has 65,000 volt coil ,to insure accurate and reliable timing to 7,500 RPM。 --With adjustable vacuum advance。 --Fully CNC machined and polished housing。 --have a 4340 Chrome Moly gear which will work with cast and billet cams. Premium cap with brass terminals.。 --True spark alignment for instant throttle response.。 --Simple 1-wire ... The spark in the cylinder at TDC on the exhaust stroke is "wasted," hence the name "waste-spark." Each waste-spark DIS coil is hooked in series with its two spark plugs, as shown in Fig. 1. As the coil fires, secondary current creates a high-voltage spark across the gaps of both plugs.
Make sure you have 12 volts to the common wire (red/white) on the coils. Then check all the connections in the headlight bucket that are ignition related and clean them with a good contact cleaner. Locate the TCI module (Transistor Controlled Ignition) and unplug the connectors and clean those contacts as well.
Mar 19, 2010 · It is supposed that just when a spark is stablished, the voltage falls down dramatically to that value just to maintain that igniting initiated spark, which may be between 3000 and 4000 volts. So, just when the waste spark initiates, the secondary coil voltage drops and there is no option to get the 12000 volts for generating the useful spark.
